Industrial tradeshow opens in town

HCMC – A three-in-one biennial industrial tradeshow featuring energy efficiency, renewables, electrical installation, security and fire systems, and industrial automation opened in HCMC on Wednesday.

The 3-in-1 show comprises of Elenex Vietnam 2010 featuring Power & Renewable Energy; Architecture Building M&E Vietnam 2010 featuring Securitex & Fire Vietnam 2010; and Industrial Automation 2010.

The three-day event at the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC), District 7 provides a sourcing platform with hands-on solutions to customers from the electrical engineering, building, security and fire, and industrial automation sectors.

Given the phenomenal success of the second edition of Elenex Vietnam, the show is believed to return to the spotlight this year with more quality exhibiting companies and international buyers taking part, according to organizers Hong Kong Exhibition Services Ltd and VCCI Exhibition Service Co., Ltd.

The fair has a strong international presence with over 250 companies from more than 20 countries and territories, and the group pavilions of Austria, China, Germany, Italy, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan and the U.K.

The tradeshow encompasses hundreds of mainstream and cutting-edge products and technologies that will appeal to professionals from the automation, building, electrical engineering machinery, security and trading and distributing sectors.

Ranging from power applications, and transmission and distribution to electrical installation and lighting technologies, Elenex Vietnam delivers various options for electrical industry professionals to seek solutions for their daily challenges.

The exhibition offers traditional mainstream electrical products such as cables and wires, connectors, relays and converters, switches and switchgears, and features on-site power, power generation and renewable energy technologies to present both immediate power uplift and more efficient green alternatives.

Incorporating building and industrial security needs, Securitex & Fire Vietnam 2010 demonstrates a selection of the most innovative and groundbreaking security-related technologies and products.

Industrial Automation Vietnam makes a timely event to inspire change as it addresses transformation in manufacturing, plants and utilities progressively, from upgrading existing processes through to full automation for Greenfield plant investments.

Key exhibits include automation and control software, cables/cable systems, drives and actuators, industrial PCs, plant automation and monitoring systems, and process automation, among others.

More than 7,000 trade professionals are expected to gather at the event to acquire new businesses, and make quality sourcing, network and exchange market intelligence.

200 firms join electrical tech expo in town

HCMC - The 3rd Vietnam International Electrical Technology and Equipment Exhibition 2010, or Vietnam ETE 2010, opened for the first time at the HCMC International Exhibition and Convention Center in Tan Binh District on Thursday with some 200 companies taking part.

The exhibition features companies from many countries and regions such as China, South Korea, Japan, Russia, Germany and Vietnam.

On display at the 200 stands are technology and equipment for thermal and nuclear power plants and solar, wind and other alternative energy systems, as well as electrical transmission systems: transformers, measuring devices, insulators, and other electrical tools.

This is a chance for Vietnamese enterprises to create relationships, exchange experiences, and look for customers and partners in investment cooperation, technology research and development to expand production, said Nguyen Nam Hai, deputy minister of industry and trade, at the opening ceremony.

He noted this year the exhibition was the largest event on electrical technology and equipment in Vietnam, where domestic and international leading enterprises were gathering to introduce their breakthrough technologies in the electrical industry.

The event is co-organized by the Vietnam Electrotechnical Industry Association, the Electricity of Vietnam and the CIS Vietnam Advertising and Exhibition Fair Joint Stock Company.
